A Coralville woman accused of killing her 2-year-old son and attempting to kill her 7-year-old son has pleaded not guilty.
Michelle Kehoe was scheduled to appear in Buchanan County District Court on Tuesday morning for arraignment, but entered a written not guilty plea last week. The 35-year-old faces charges of first-degree murder, attempt to commit murder and child endangerment resulting in serious injury.

Kehoe is in custody at the Buchanan County jail on a $2.5 million bond.
According to police, on Oct. 26 Kehoe told her husband she was taking her sons, Seth, and Sean, to visit relatives in Sumner. They never arrived, and police allege Kehoe drove her sons to a pond near Littleton and bound them with duct tape before cutting their throats.
