ASSOCIATED PRESS • December 1, 2008

The last of five Westwood wrestlers who were injured in a fatal car accident near Hornick has been released from the hospital.

Officials at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City say 16-year-old Trent Baker has been released.

His release comes nearly three weeks after an accident near Hornick that killed Brad Haburn of Spencer and seriously injured five Westwood wrestlers and their coach, Dan Thompson.

The crash occurred along Highway 141, when the SUV carrying the Westwood wrestlers collided with a minivan driven by Haburn. Investigators say Haburn was weakened by chronic medical conditions when his van swerved into the SUV's path, causing the crash.
