This Just In: Roosevelt hosts pageants

Roosevelt High School will host the 2009 Miss Iowa USA and Miss Iowa Teen USA Pageants on Saturday and Sunday.

Ninety-seven young women will compete in three equally weighted categories of evening gown, swimwear and personality interview.

The preliminary event will be at 8 p.m. Saturday. The finals show will be at 4 p.m. Sunday. Purchase tickets at the door, at www.missiowausa.com or by calling (952) 440-4550. General admission is $25, with 5 and younger free.
